    While I have had real acupuncture done a hand full of times and this can’t compare in the same way. This is like a broad and less accurate version. That doesn’t mean it isn’t good. For example, if you have had acupuncture for a stiff neck, it targets the specific muscles in your neck to your shoulders and to your spine so that it is completely gone by the end of the session. This is helpful where it gets the whole back of my neck and back so that if I feel like another bad night of sleep that is going to give me a stiff neck (like I was yesterday) this helped. I’m sure over time this will help keep it away. Its something I would have to do everyday or several times a week. I feel the blood circulation improve immediately during my use. I definitely have to get off the floor slowly afterwards. I prefer the hard floor to put the mat on because I feel it more than my couch or bed. Also, this mat fits me perfect and covers my whole back and neck but I am a short person at 5’3”. I like that...More

    Not a magic solution but a good tool. Took a few days to be able to lay on it without a shirt and even then it took a lot of will power to do so during the first 5min but then you get used to it and it has definitely helped release some tightness in my back.

An obnoxiously overused phrase, yet one that Ive found definitely applies for these spiky, magical, weirdly cool mats that have a long list of health boosting benefits- if you can push through the pain (and any fear of those thousands of tiny spikes)! Here’s my non-expert, non- medical recommendations for starting out based on my personal experience with it.• Place it on a firm surface like the floor/ rug etc. The bed is too uneven and can lead to more pressure on certain areas.• Consider wearing a thin shirt or cover the mat with thin fabric when you first start so you get used to the spikes. I’m happy to say I believe it did!BACK & SHOULDER PAIN: I found in the past that lying on the floor can be beneficial, but it needs something more to address the existing pain and fatigue from sitting at the desk too long. The acupressure from the needles seem to be the extra boost that helped enough to get through all day at a desk. I felt less sore and fatigued.ANXIETY: I found this similar to grounding techniques or mindfulness that forced a refocus on something other than endless anxious thoughts and external stressors, and to listen to what my body was telling me. There was a rhythm to the sensation I felt laying on this, and it felt very calming.FATIGUE- The fatigue I normally experience hits me at various rolling points throughout the day, absolutely destroying my energy and productivity. I’ve had to cut back on caffeine due to anxiety so was struggling even more. After hearing that this was good remedy for fatigue, I was honestly most excited to try it for that. This worked as a pick me up right away, but not just temporarily from the intensity. I felt invigorated and light, very refreshed after laying on his for even 5 minutes. As someone crippled by fatigue throughout the day, this alone made this mat such a essential thing to have on hand.Overall, I’m really enjoying having this mat, it seems to have many benefits that help a lot of my personal issues. I also like that you get a mat and pillow, both of which are sold elsewhere separately. I do wish it came with an info sheet or booklet, as a lot of people are going to be confused on how to use this. I’d recommend looking up YouTube tutorials if you’re unsure, and obviously consulting a professional if you have medical issues!

    Surprised with the quality and it is as effective as another that I have to "extremely" expensive. The fabric is soft but strong, the pieces that give the massage are the same as those of my other acupressure mat as well as the pillow. This works well at least for me it has helped me with lower waist, neck and shoulder blade pain. It is an excellent gift because we bring relief to the recipient. I used it gradually, first 5 minutes, 10 minutes 15 minutes and then 30 minutes each time I use it. I really like that you have your bag to store it. Obviously it is not as luxurious as the other one I have but it does the same. I highly recommend it

    Love this. You can definitely feel the pricks but they don't hurt. It feels so good. You can feel the pressure in soar spots. I suggest practicing belly breathing while laying on it. Great Quality. Rolls up into a bag.

    LOVE this. Used when pregnant and when not, It takes a while to get used to but after using every night for a while, I can say it helps so much with relaxation and getting comfortable before bed. It’s a little bit painful when you first lay down but as your back relaxes into the spikes and circulation gets going it’s a great feeling. Definitely worth it!

    Saw this product on Instagram at a higher price point and slow shopping. I was happy to find and order it off . I love the neck pillow. The spikes take some getting used to but it puts you into almost a trance like start esp if you listen to a mediation or something on the Calm app.

    This makes that old line, "hurts so good," come to life. At first this hurts but then it feels great. Best to use on a floor because I've found that the padding of a bed or couch hinders the effectiveness. This helps ease pressure headaches for me, and that is priceless.

    First of all, folks, you lie on the mat. You don't lay on it. If you're a native speaker of English, no excuse for that mistake.I originally bought one of these mats six months ago, when I was suffering excruciating shoulder/upper back pain after a week at an airbnb with a concrete-like mattress. Months of suffering ended in two days of using an acupressure mat. I became addicted, not that that's a bad thing, and spend at least a half hour a night with my mat.When I researched products before obtaining that first mat, there were not a lot of choices. Now there are many options, and prices have come down too. I have been buying them for family members -- once people get past the bed-of-nails reaction, they love them -- and the brand name doesn't seem to matter. All are the same.The Esup version stands out with its own carry bag. Normally, my mat is on my bed, but if we ever start traveling again, the mat will come with me. If I encounter another concrete mattress, I'll be prepared.
