How to apply the treatment?

  • The cartridge comes in a sterile pack.
  • Double-cleanse (cleanse and repeat) then wipe the skin clean. Fully tie back your hair, away from your face.
  • Work in small areas and apply serum to each area before needling. This will help to ensure that the pen does not drag or pull on the skin. The recommended pattern to move the pen for best results is vertical, horizontal, and then diagonal in both directions. Using a light pressure and without dragging, repeat this motion over each area two times.

    I've used various derma rollers and derma pens before, this is by far my favorite derma tool yet!I love that it comes with many additional needle cartridges. I have a handful of deep scars on my knees and on my torso and have been looking for a convenient tool to use on it. I didn't feel like the derma roller I had at the time was what I needed as they're hard to truely sanitize so I love that the cartridges are disposable for this pen!I love the gold look, the multi speed adjustments and the quality of the item. It's all around a 10/10 purchase. If you're thinking about it just do it!

    I’d never done microneedling before and didn’t want to spend the money to have it done professionally. I have a lot of experience with skin care practices and am a licensed health professional, so I bought this based on the reviews. Packaging is great, easy instructions, you can also watch videos on YouTube (duh), definitely buy numbing cream. I’ve done 2 treatments so far, I see some improvement in fine lines but not much in tightening...according to dermatologists, it’s not gonna do much, but I’m gonna keep trying. I’m thinking they don’t believe it works for tightening because patients don’t have enough treatments. With my own personal one at home, I will be able to see overtime if it improves the jowls and neck area. I’ll come back and leave another review a few months from now!

    I bought this Dermapen to use versus professional and expensive treatments. I found it to be easy to use with the directions and a plus in getting so many cartridges. I have used it twice. The first time with the 12 needle cartridge and once with the nano cartridge as a touch up one week after the 12 needle. Two years ago I had a series of five microneedling treatments done at a cosmetic surgery facility. The treatments were effective particularly noticeable after three treatments, and I was told that I would probably need maintenance treatments on a yearly or so frequency. I could tell that some of the effects had worn off and I tried the dermarollers a couple of times with to me, no real results. So I was debating to go for another round of professional treatments when I found the variety of at home dermapen devices available on . So I was debating to go for another round of professional treatments when I found the variety of at home dermapen devices available on . The reviews and features for this one including the price and the cartridges made it my choice. I like the variety of speeds and depth settings available and definitely for facial treatments 2.0 mm is a high range with at home probably better to stay at 1 -1.5 mm or below. For my first use since I have had prior treatments I used .5 mm for forehead, nose, and undereyes. The 1 mm was used for the rest of the face. Undereyes next time I will use a shorter setting as most recommendations are to stay at .25 mm. I had not used numbing cream with the rollers and I did use it with the Dermapen (as it was used in professional treatments) and it was comfortable in doing the treatment. I did get more temporary redness and splotchiness for this treatment which was what I had received during the professional treatments . That went away after 48 hours and most of it after 24 hours. An improvement needed for me is to find the best mask or treatment to use post use of the dermapen to maximize effectiveness. I am not sure about the effectiveness or value of the colored lights as there is little information provided. There are studies on the effectiveness of red light treatment using a specified intensity and frequency range with a timed duration of treatment. I suspect with the short time frame of the small beam of light per facial area that there is probably little benefit and as noted there is no information on the intensity of the light treatments. But still I will continue to use this Pen on a monthly or 6 week basis for the full facial treatment and eventually move up to the 36 needle cartridge. If there are issues that emerge in the device's performance I can revise and update this review. But so far this has been an excellent purchase particularly in considering the cost of professional treatments of $275-350/session based on the number of treatment selected.

    I just received this product and tried it right away. I can not share the results yet but what I can share is that it’s so easy to use. So far my face is all red as expected and already feels youthful and can feel the blood circulation workings for waking up the collagen. I’m very happy I got this product and excited to share the results in a month.

    This is for professionals only!! Please consult a profession for microneedling. This can really damage your skin if you do not know how to use this. This is a great alternative to some expensive pens. I love that it has red and blue light. Although it’s probably not enough light to do a lot of treatment it is nice to include in a service.

    Tonight was my first use. I used it at 0.5, level 1 speed and will tell you that you will feel it! Definitely use numbing ointment. I did my chest, neck, and face. I used vitamin C serum on each area which helped the needles glide across my skin. I now have a sunburn sensation like the directions say I should. Im looking forward to seeing results. Im attaching the after photo which isn't great but you can see the resulting redness. I am 52 and have done chemical peels, fillers, & botox, so my skin is not super sensitive. I started at a low setting and felt it, so this pen is plenty good for any skin “toughness”

    Ok, I did not realize the pen came with different needle heads! I used the nano needle for my first treatment and I was a little disappointed because it didn’t have the deeper needles. But I came back to read other reviews and that’s when I checked the cartridges that came with my pen and I saw that it had 12, 36 and nano! Wow! Excellent price. I used the red light when I did my treatment. Even with the nano needles I noticed a difference in the lines around my mouth. Now that I know it has 12 and 36 needles, I will be doing another treatment. I want to do my 11’s and around my mouth again. Also my cheeks to reduce pore sizes. The pen is made very well. It has multiple settings and depths for the needles and also the option for blue, red or no light. The directions were very clear. I am eager to use it again! I would recommend this pen. I will come back with an update after a few uses and post pictures.

    Switching from a derma roller to this derma pen is a game changer. I was skeptical that this would cause less damage to the skin and was worth the price in comparison to a derma roller but let me tell you it’s worth every penny. The pen fits so perfectly under your eyes to combat the lines from looking down at your phone all day. You can switch the length depending on where you’re applying it so you won’t need multiple devices to go over your whole face. I like that the needles are a one time use because it means they are sharp and sterile every time. If you’re thinking of adding a tool to your beauty kit I would highly recommend it. I’ve been mirco needling on and off for about five years and I get complements all the time about how well my skin is aging. If you’re debating switching from a roller please make the switch you won’t regret! And if you’re new to the mirco needling world do some home work and buy this pen!!

    I'm a student esthetician and this product exceeded my expectations. After charging the battery I let it run with the blue light on to see how much battery life it had. After an hour I got tired of hearing the buzzing noise and turned it off. After an hour it's important to point out that the device didn't run hot. Cool to the touch the entire time. I'm glad to know if I'm going a lot of micro needling this device has the power to finish the job.
