   Ihave had similar items in past but the blade for cutting the seat belt was always somewhat exposed and always made me wonder if you could cut yourself in error. I decided to replace the ones we had with these, soon as I saw the blue was covered. Also I like that this has the trigger so it has more power and a person will not need to beat at a window over n over in a situation that can have a quick time limit. I tried the trigger and it was a big surprising just how strong it is. Great item for peace of mind. You’re glad to have it even though you may never need it, but if you do… it will be there.

   My Son had mentioned that in today's world, if a car went into the water, most likely there would be no way out because of the electrical windows and strength of the glass not breaking even with a hammer (not an item usually kept in the glove compartment). Then I saw an ad for these and realized the Breeker Brand was a must go-to, and what most pleased were the 2 pieces of glass included to test each one of these provided in the box. They both worked amazingly well with very little pressure, and the instructions included as to where to place this specifically on the doors' glass helped to understand quickly what to do IF an emergency happened with the windows being unresponsive - even on dry land! I have one for my car and one for my son's car and feel relieved in further being covered for the just-in-case emergency need! :)

   Living in Florida, we hear all too often of people who die when they are car ends up in a pond or canal. These emergency window break tools should be in the vehicle. I wanted a tool that was light and easy to use for my wife and children, which is why I opted for the spring loaded tool. I appreciate that it came with too pieces of glass, allowing them to try it out. My only negative was that the adhesive on the bracket was not sufficient to fix it securely inside the car. After trying it, I decided not to use the bracket as I fear it will fly off in an accident. We will keep it in the center console. This tool appears to be very similar, if not identical, to others sold on for similar price. So I consider it a fair value for the money.

   I have no idea if this glass breaker actually works but I have to trust that it will. Just like to have it for just in case. Very reasonable and hopefully functional .

   You never know when something like this might be useful in an accident or helping others as a bystander. This might be an automobile or a home window. Anyhow, a few things to keep in mind, gloves would be a good idea, so keep a pair with the glass breaker. Also, go for the corners and edges if you have tinted windows, and then push the glass out once you've cracked enough glass. Same goes for the windshield, which is harder to break and dislodge, but it can be done. Lastly, this is a good gift for friends and family.

   Nice and small to put in any convenient spot. They even give a sample piece of glass to test the tool on. This met all my expectations and then some.

   These devices are small, lightweight and inexpensive, but they might just save your life, or someone else's. I have one of these for myself and all the drivers in my extended family. Not only might it help you save your own life, but it might just help you save a person else trapped in a car, or a child or pet that's locked in a hot vehicle. I've watched videos of cops trying to break car windows with a flashlight or night stick, and it is not easy. The glass breaker on this thing will allow you to open a window with very little chance you you getting cut, or your showering a crash victim with shards of glass if you have to slam a window with a large, heavy object. My daughter often travels with a large dog. The seat belt cutter on this is very appealing to her. Her dog has a safety harness, but in a wreck. he might be excited and pull on the harness straps. Most seatbelt buckles won't release easily if they are under tension, like from an upended vehicle, or an excited, strong dog. ...More

I don't know about you, but I find that child safety seats aren't the easiest thing to get a kid out of on a good day. In a wreck, even one you witness, the belt cutter could be very useful and much safer than using a pocket knife. I've had a couple of vehicular mishaps over the years, but I have been a witness to many more than I have been involved in. I have a secret dread that one day I may witness an accident where I can't help someone escape from a burring car or one that has entered water. A flooded car is probably more likely in my area, since we have lots of storms and hurricanes and disoriented drivers are always entering high water and stalling their cars. In some cases, they have difficult opening the doors due to outside water pressure. I know it is unlikely that I will ever need this to save myself or another, but I also wear a seatbelt 100% of the time, and I have automobile insurance. For the price and how handy this thing is, I'd hate to ever be without one now that I know they exist.

   I like these Breekers. they are much smaller that these type of tools used to be. I like the smaller profile, since they fit in more places in my car. I didn't use the sticky backing they sent, but attached it to my visor underneath an elastic band. I put one in the center console, just in case it was easier to get to. I actually have an old broken car window that I use to test these tools on it and it worked very well. I haven't tested the cutter on a seatbelt, but it worked well on a thick piece of string I have.

   This is an emergency tool that looks nice that would look good in any car. This is a tool you hope to never have to use, but having it when you need it could save your life. I didn’t use the anti-slip stickers as I think they look better without putting a sticker on them. I also don’t think it is that hard to hold on to when practicing on the provided piece of glass. The plastic mount is ok, but I do not feel like it will keep the glass break in place if I was off-roading or id I were in an accident. Instead, I placed one in the center console of my truck and zipped ties the strap to my roll bar in my Jeep for easy access. The tool is easy enough to use for just about anyone, so in the event anyone needs to use it, it will be simple to use. The price is fair for 2 good looking glass breaks, while I did not use the mount or silicone anti-slip pads, it was nice that they were included.

   This is a very clever version a type of tool we've all seen before - it provides a portable way to cut through a seat belt or break a window to help people who are trapped in a car make their escape. One end of this small tool can cut through a seatbelt, freeing the wearer when the buckle isn't working or is out of reach. The other end houses a spring-loaded tungsten steel drill that breaks the window glass easily when released, then resets itself. The manufacturer provides four of these tools (two in black, two in red) in the package, and recommends that you keep multiples in different locations in your car. They also provide four test pieces of auto glass for testing the glass breakers. The price ($27.99 as I write this) seems well worth the peace of mind this simple tool can help provide.

   Every driver needs to keep one of these within easy reach--the driver's door seems the most logical place--in case they find themselves in a sinking car with water pressing in on the windows. You can see one in use in a video, and a sample of auto safety glass is provided so you can see how they work. (If you're going to smash the glass sample, do it with the glass inside a sufficiently large box so that you don't have to clean up the resulting glass fragments that will fly all over the place.) It's nice to have them come in two-packs, since you'll want to give one to every family member who drives.

   Very quick and simple to use, easily broke the thick tempered glass sample that came with with it. Comes with adhesive clip and stick on grips. Highly recommend having one of these in your car in case of an emergency!

   I love these emergency tools. They're very lightweight and have a small profile. Each comes with a mounting bracket that you stick in your car's interior. I have mine glued towards the base of my car's center console near my feet. It's easy to reach, yet not an eyesore. I haven't used it yet and hope I never need to, but I feel better knowing it's there.

   The device seems to be made with quality as it has a pretty hard casing, and doesn't feel cheaply made or anything. I tested the device on the tempered glass piece they give to try. It's really thick, looks thicker than a typical car door window. On the first try it shattered it. So I'm confident it will work if I ever need it. One thing to remember is this will not work on laminated windows like your front windshield. Some cars use laminated windows on the doors and sun roof.. so just be sure to check what your car windows are made out of.

   This device is very hard to review because unless you have a piece of safety glass you want to discard how do you test it ?? I gave this safety hammer 5 stars only because the product seems to be well made and came with very detailed instructions as to how to use it. I pray that we never have a need to use this device but it gives us some piece of mind that we have two, one for the car and one for our motor home.

   This tool is a must have if you travel with your family and think about their safety. I read stories about people getting stuck in their vehicles and not being able to get out. This tool works great to crack glass. The packaging comes with a thick piece of glass to test on. Just remove the cap and push down and the tool will hammer the glass. Works just as intended. The cutting tool part seems a bit thin but it does work to cut. Might require some effort but it's better than nothing.

   This is SUPER small... and really well made, much easier to store than the other ones, tiny form factor and love that it comes with a sample glass to break.... just be careful with that since it splitners into a zillion peices so do that in a controlled place

But hey, if a 4 year old can do it, then I'm sure, with all the adrenaline in the event of an emergency, anyone can do it. Just be very mindful of where you put it. Remember what parts of your car are going to come apart in the event of an accident where your airbags come out. Most of your dash is going to come forward and possibly be destroyed depending on where your airbags are located. My original idea was to put it under the dash in the area of my steering wheel but in the past I've had my dash move forward pretty far and I've heard a lot of incidences where people's legs are pinned and so I wouldn't want to risk knocking it out during the accident and not being able to get to it so I decided that there's a flat space inside of th...More

The surface is flat enough that the holder sticks and holds it in there just fine and it doesn't get in the way of sunglasses still being in there. Then if it does fall out during an emergency it's just in the sunglasses holder somewhere and I just need to open it and get to it. Hopefully that location will work out. I haven't decided where to put the second one but I was thinking of putting it somewhere in the area of my kids just in case. Not letting them know that it's there because I don't need any windows busted on a random Tuesday but if there is an emergency I can let them know where it's at 😅

   This is a really nice set. The outer shell is very pretty, slick, grey, polished look that looks nice on a keychain or mounted in the car. But at the end of the day what matters is functionality. I tested it on a piece of glass provided with the kit and it worked like a charm. I believe even an older person with arthritis will not have any issues operating it in case of emergency. I also had a piece of strap similar to a car seatbelt and was able to cut through it without any issues. I didn't install my mount yet but the breaker fits really nicely and the mount installs with adhesive backing (that's already there). Very happy with the set.
