Got this system on the advice of my nephew and his wife, who used it in their business with elderly clients, and could not be happier that she is now able to engage in conversation, because using this device, she can hear!

    For someone older, this is a game changer. The only complaint is that it doesn't block out much background noise. It allows someone with hearing loss to control how loud the sound can be. Full volume it is very loud but because of the sound coming from both sides of the headset you don't have to have it full blast to hear even with a large hearing loss.

    I purchased the Pocketalker for my elderly Mother who suddenly lost most of her hearing, and it works great! She was able to hear me speak in my normal voice tone, I did not have to shout like I was previously having to do. She could hear me read cards, and letters to her. I recommend this product for anyone who has difficulty in hearing.

    This device is not as good at noise canceling as real hearing aids. It is EXCELLENT at amplifying sound so you don't have to raise your voice to communicate. Also the TV can be set at a reasonable level.

    My 99 year old dad has major hearing issues, hearing aids don’t work anymore. So I tried this setup but I also bought the wand microphone that is sold separately but so worth it!! This works PERFECTLY and my dad can have conversations again with people also talking over the cellphone is much better, a lifesaver for actually communicating with him again. He’s thrilled something finally works! Well worth it and it’s pocket size so it clips to his belt, so we can walk and talk like old times! :)

    I have been helping an elderly woman from church who has had no success with hearing aids. So our meetings are full of repeating things over and over and raising my voice. It is exhausting. I thought there has to be something that can help...I found this. The minute she put in on at level 1 she could hear! I said can can you hear me? Her face lit up and she grabbed me and hugged me. OMG. What a difference in our communications! She used the belt clip immediately. Didn't care about the headphones. We went to the bank, and she had to increase to level 2. Didn't complain about ambient noise. We have to be looking at each other and fairly close, but that's OK! Try it! It's a game changer!

    An audiologist recommended this Pocket Talker during a consultation, which determined that my 88 year old mother is essentially deaf in both ears. This product has enhanced and amplified (pun intended) my aility to converse with her in a normal tone, rather than at a near-yelling pitch. The expression on my mom's face when she first tried it out was one of discovery, happiness, clarity, and a stark realization of what's she's been missing all along. I had the same reaction in high school when I was fitted for a pair of contact lenses. It was like, 'hello, people!" One doesn't realize what one is missing and our deficits until we find a product that illuminates the world as it was meant to be experienced.     Works. She can hear TV and people talking now. This was the only design my mother in law could put on herself as she is alone during the day. If the earpiece falls out it doesn’t fall on the floor and she can put it back in.

    I got this for my grandma after her hospital stay because she loved the one she had while she was an inpatient and said she wanted one at home. So I found this one and decided to try it out and boy does she love it. She can now hear the tv clearly I don’t have to scream and yell for her to hear me when I’m speaking. She’s very hard of hearing so this makes all her doctors appointments so much smoother. I love that it comes with a cord to extend the microphone so I can place it next to the tv for her to hear it more clearly and it works great for when she has visits from family and her doctors/nurses. If you have a relative whose hard of hearing this is the best option and all it takes is 2 batteries.

    It is made of sturdy plastic, and is bigger than most ear buds. The function of it is not that good. It make a noise of feed back if you have to two ear piece together. When using in hearing aid mode it sounds like you in a tunnel and also when you use as ear buds. I don't like product.

    These are the best hearing aids I have ever seen used, and it ain't even close darling. My mother's $3,000 hearing aids went dead FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TWO YEARS, so I needed a cheap emergency solution before we we could get into the city for repairs. My dear grandfather always taught me it is expensive to be cheap, and I live by this rule. This is the one time I get to toss the rule out of window!!! I looked at the features of these hearing aids and thought it's too good to be true at $50!!! The volume control works effortlessly and is insanely easy to learn, even for my 86-year old mother. The sound canceling mode is absolute GENIUS!!! I used to have to say EVERYTHING two or three times for my mother to hear, especially with any background noise. The cords ro the rare buds are fully adjustable in an ingenue fashion that hides extra chord. The collar is elegant and very thin: an acceptable compromise for the quality of the devise. It's a dark grey/silver that's barely noticeable. The tradeoff for the quality of these devices is 5,000 times worth it. My mother is 86 and ain't goin' to no mo' fashion shoots!

    These do have magnets in them and the battery sits directly on top of pacemakers. I could not get an answer regarding if they are safe with pacemakers. Other then that, my 94 year old grandad loves them.

    Bought this for my aging mother who has hearing impairment and she refuses to use hearing aids. Microphone can pick up speech from several feet away. Sometimes have to get closer to the mic on a bad day. Does the job and she is happy with it. When she is reading, she will remove the headset so that she is not bothered by extraneous noises that would be present with hearing aids.

    Purchased these for my dad because the over the ear would not stay in his ear. These were great! he can wear them around his neck. He can adjust the volume easily, and they stay in his ear with a little hook that fits inside his earlobe great for elderly people.

    These actually work better than expensive hearing aids. Bought as gift because she kept losing here expensive ones in bed. With these she hears better than the expensive ones. Good for around the house. Going out possibly not so much as they are not “hidden”.

    I bought this because my 4 year old took my hearing aids and I cannot find them. I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but the set up was simple and the design is comfortable. You can adjust the speaker volume in a pretty good range so it could be good for a range of hearing impairment. Would recommend!
